Our Background

The Chosen is a registered South African non-profit organisation established in 2014. The burden for the fatherless and vulnerable learners compelled Kena Anna Nkoma to craft a vision for The Chosen. The organisation was co-founded by Kena Nkoma, Phoebe Morodi and Phindi Nkomo. The Chosen is funded by the Arup Education Trust (AET). Since 2014, this partnership has positively impacted more than 150 learners. Together, The Chosen NPO and AET have provided valuable educational opportunities and support, making a significant difference in the lives of these young individuals.

What We Do

THUKEMA is intentional in creating an environment that ignites leadership and excellence.

Through targeting disadvantaged learners who are studying pure Mathematics and Science, we help improve learners' performance and prepare them for tertiary studies in the STEM fields.

Our programme THUKEMA provides learners with skills that aid them with career choices. We facilitate Career sessions as well as educational field excursions that provide real life experiences.
